Established in 1974, Great Southern TAFE has grown to be a dynamic Registered Training Organisation, meeting the needs and aspirations of our community. In addition to our major role in providing training and employment services, we also contribute to the region as a major business and employer.
Our primary campus is centred in the bustling and historic port city of Albany on the beautiful south coast of Western Australia. This campus has extensive facilities and a wide range of programs to cater for Albany’s diverse population and growing economy.
The Denmark campus is located 50 kilometres west of Albany, and meets the needs of its local community, with an emphasis on sustainable living systems. It offers high quality nationally accredited training and its range of practical, industry, and lifestyle courses are provided in flexible delivery modes.
The Mount Barker campus is 50 kilometres north of Albany and lies in the state’s wine and timber growing region. Each year, the local community grows steadily in size and diversity, leading to a richer and wider range of programmes and short courses.
The Katanning campus is 175 kilometres north of Albany and in one of the major regional wool growing agricultural centres in the Great Southern. The campus provides a considerable amount of training in rural operations which supports the farming community through flexible delivery options. It also offers a wide range of other vocational programs in business, information technology, trades, community services, art, and general education.
