BSB30707 -  Certificate III in Occupational Health and Safety

The Certificate III in Occupational Health and Safety is the new entry-level qualification for those whose main job is not dedicated to OHS but who take it on as a voluntary duty.  Job roles relevant to this qualification include health and safety committee members and health and safety representatives.  It is a nationally endorsed qualification that is part of the Business Services Training Package.  The competency units have been endorsed by the National Quality Council.

The functions of workplace health and safety representatives map closely to the elements in six key OHS units of the Certificate III in Occupational Health and Safety.   The SafetyLine Institute has produced an Integrated Assessment Tool for these six key OHS units, so that participating training providers can more easily assist health and safety representatives and committee members to achieve the requirements of the six units.   Participating training providers who have licensed four or more competency units from the SafetyLine Institute have permission to use the Integrated Assessment Tool for these six key OHS units.

To gain the full qualification you need to successfully complete twelve (12) units.  See the student course guide for further information and details of how the units make up the qualification.  If you wish, you can contact a participating training provider with a view to seeking skills recognition (RPL) or coaching and mentoring to gain the full qualification or units of competency.

The SafetyLine Institute has no current plans to produce learning material for the Certificate III in Occupational Health and Safety, so no learning material is available below.
